MARCH 8TH WOMEN UNITED
TO END MODERN SLAVERY
What is March 8th Women United ?
Each year on March 8th, Join us live online for our annual global gathering: Women United to End Modern Slavery!

Demand mandatory supply chain transparency labeling -so we can finally choose slavery-free products with confidence. Hosted by Empowerment Collective, a 100% survivor-led organization dedicated to ending modern slavery, invites women and allies around the globe to unite and demand that the exploitation hidden within our supply chains is unveiled, empowering us with the necessary knowledge to fill our homes and lives with slavery-free products.

There are 50 million people globally in modern day slavery people whose dignity and personal liberties have been stolen in pursuit of profit, and whose exploitation continues largely because of a lack of transparency in our global trade systems.
We gather on International Women’s Day because modern slavery is a gendered issue. Globally, women are significantly more vulnerable to being trafficked into modern slavery, but we also control 85% of consumer spending worldwide (Forbes, 2024), giving us immense power to shift this reality through our everyday choices.
Our 2026 March 8th gathering features survivor voices at the forefront of the conversation — because those who have been closest to the problem are always closest to the solution — harmonized with the voices of passionate and knowledgeable women who work in the worlds of ethical fashion, human rights advocacy, academia, spiritual teaching, and more. This group of renowned speakers will ground us in present-day realities while uplifting us with actionable steps we can all take towards a world defined by freedom and empowerment for all.

All funds generated from ticket donations go to support the survivor and grassroots leaders you will hear from at the event and their projects bringing deeply rooted impacts to communities facing modern slavery.
